The General Manager (GM) is highly process driven and hands-on within the Public Sector team (comprised of Business Development, Government Affairs, Project Management, Account Management, and Operations). The success of this position is largely determined by the success of implementing our customers and by smooth post implementation operations at our customer sites. The Public Sector team is scaling to keep pace with the massive demand for the Banjo product, and the GM must be able to stay ahead of that demand. The GM will juggle operational and strategic focus and will develop the strategy, primary goals, operating plans, policies, and short and long-term range objectives for the Public Sector organization. 

The GM sets the bar for excellence, passion for mission and execution for the Public Sector team and is seen as a leader within Banjo as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maniacally focused on operational excellence, managing the human capital resources of the team as well as customer readiness, deployment and long-term success
  • Responsible for overachievement of key metrics relating to customer and internal team success
  • Lead and scale the Public Sector team to effectively meet customer growth demands; organize the team to make decisions quickly and with precision to stay ahead of rapid growth in customer base as well as within their organization
  • Accountable for the Public Sector P&L, ensuring adherence with operating budgets
  • Responsible for the strategic planning process for the Public Sector, resulting in establishment of short and long term planning, profitability targets and regional contribution to company growth
  • Responsible for the creation and documentation of the Public Sector’s strategic plan, including the creation of strategic, tactical, and financial plans; developing goals and measuring performance against goals; organizational development; liaison to the public, government, and affiliated organizations
  • Provide leadership to all Public Sector staff and operations on a day-to-day basis, leading by example with clear alignment to Banjo objectives and culture

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience implementing multiple large customers simultaneously while managing a large queue of additional implementations
  • 10+ years of experience in high-growth SaaS companies selling into the Public Sector
  • Track record of successfully scaling organizations domestically and globally
  • Leadership experience working in or with Government Entities or Agencies
  • Successful track record of managing a P&L
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
